MCCUTCHEON ANNOUNCES MEMBERS OF HOUSE DRIVER’S LICENSE REVIEW COMMITTEE

MONTGOMERY – Speaker of the House Mac McCutcheon (R-Monrovia) on Thursday announced the members of the House Interim Committee on Driver’s License Review.  The committee was created by HR11 during the recent special session.

ALABAMA HOUSE PASSES $6.3 BILLION EDUCATION BUDGET WITH TEACHER PAY RAISE AND ADDITIONAL CLASSROOM FUNDING

HOUSE AWARDS APPROVAL TO GROUND-BREAKING WIRELESS BROADBAND SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY BILL

Montgomery – The Alabama House on Tuesday awarded its approval to the Wireless Infrastructure Renovation for Education Act, which is more commonly known as the “WIRED Act” and would provide wireless broadband access in all of the state’s K-12 public schools.

The bill, sponsored by State Rep. Donnie Chesteen (R – Geneva) and championed by Rep. Bill Poole (R-Tuscaloosa) the House Education Budget Committee Chair, is included in the House Republican Caucus’s “Right for Alabama Agenda” that was announced prior to the session’s start.

Speaker Pro Tem Victor Gaston Awarded 2016 Israel Leadership Award

MONTGOMERY – The Israel Leadership Institute on Wednesday announced that Alabama Speaker Pro Tempore Victor Gaston (R-Mobile) will be honored with the Israel Leadership Award at the Alabama-Israel Leadership Gala in Huntsville on April 9.
